Welcome to using meVid ("meVid", "we", "us", "our"), an AI-native video & podcast platform that combines uploading, streaming, AI production tools, monetization, paid content (paywalls), affiliate referrals, ad delivery via Cloudflare Stream, and creator/viewer interaction. By creating an account, uploading content, watching content, paying for content, or otherwise using meVid (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use meVid
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account.
You must be 18+ to: receive monetization payouts, sell paywalled content, participate in the affiliate program, or purchase paywalled content where required by local law.
One human, one account. Multi-accounting from the same household is allowed only with prior written permission (see §10).
You must provide accurate identity and tax information to receive payouts.
2. Accounts, security & device tracking
To prevent fraud, abuse, and self-dealing in our affiliate and paywall systems, meVid records technical signals about each session, including:

IP address (hashed and raw, for short retention)
Browser fingerprint (canvas, WebGL, device, locale, timezone, screen)
A persistent device signal (stable across incognito / cleared cookies)
Login times and ASN/geolocation of access
You agree that:

We may block, throttle, reverse payouts, or terminate accounts that share fingerprints, device signals, or IPs in ways consistent with abuse (e.g. one person operating multiple "viewer" accounts to inflate views, votes, watch time, ad revenue, paywall purchases, or affiliate commissions).
Use of VPNs, residential proxies, anti-detect browsers, automation, or emulators to circumvent these signals is grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of pending earnings.
We may require email, phone, or government-ID verification at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You will not upload, post, share, stream, or transmit content that:

Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or other IP rights (incl. unlicensed music, film clips, or AI training data leaks).
Is CSAM, sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor in a sexualized context (zero tolerance — instant ban + reporting to NCMEC and local authorities).
Is non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn"), deepfake porn, or sexualized deepfakes of any identifiable person.
Is deceptive AI content (deepfakes, voice clones, "talking head" remixes) of real people without their consent, especially of public figures during elections or in crisis events. See §6.
Promotes terrorism, mass violence, self-harm/suicide encouragement, eating disorders, or illegal drug sales.
Targets harassment, doxxing, or hate against protected characteristics.
Contains malware, phishing, scams, "pig-butchering", crypto pump-and-dump, or fake giveaways.
Violates export controls or sanctions (incl. content originating from sanctioned regions/entities).
Spams: re-uploaded content, view-bots, comment spam, low-effort AI churn, undisclosed paid promotion.
We use automated moderation (auto-mod rules, hash matching, AI classifiers) and human review. Violations may result in takedown, demonetization, paywall refunds to viewers, restriction, suspension, or permanent ban.

4. Your content, your license to us
You retain ownership of content you upload ("Your Content").
You grant meVid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, transcode (including via Cloudflare Stream), adapt (for thumbnails, shorts, podcast spin-offs, translations, repurposed clips), publicly perform, publicly display, distribute, and create derivative works of Your Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service.
You grant other users the limited rights they need to view, like, comment, share, and (where you opt in) remix Your Content under the license you choose (e.g. our Remix License with revenue splits).
This license survives termination only to the extent necessary for backups, legal compliance, and content others have already remixed or paid for.
You represent and warrant you have all rights necessary to grant the above license, including rights in any voice, likeness, music, footage, AI model output, or third-party material in Your Content.

5. AI-generated and AI-assisted content
meVid offers AI tools (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, auto-shorts, auto-podcasts, translations, voice cloning, transcripts, agents, remix, interactive branches).

You are solely responsible for content you publish, including AI-assisted output.
Voice clones may only be created from voices you own or have explicit, revocable, written consent to use. Cloning a third party without consent is a Critical Violation (§3) and you indemnify meVid for any resulting claims.
AI outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or offensive. Review before publishing.
meVid may use aggregated, de-identified signals from your usage to improve models. We will not train foundation models on the private contents of your unpublished drafts without separate opt-in.
Synthetic media of real people must be labeled. Election-related synthetic media of candidates is prohibited.
6. Monetization & payouts
6.1 Eligibility
Monetization (ads, paywalls, tips, channel passes, affiliate, remix splits, tutorial payouts) requires:

Approved monetization application,
Verified identity and tax forms,
Compliance with all sections of these Terms, and
A configured payout method (PayPal by default).
Payouts are calculated at a 90% revenue sharing for you as a Creator.

6.2 Ads
Ads served against your content may be standard pre-roll/mid-roll or contextual. Revenue is reported in your Studio dashboard. We may withhold or reverse ad revenue for invalid traffic (bots, incentivized views, repeated self-views from the same fingerprint/IP, etc.).

6.3 Paywalls (Premium Content)
Creators approved for monetization may put videos or podcasts behind a paywall using any of these models:

Rental Time-limited access (creator sets hours)
Channel pass Time-limited access to all paid items on that creator's channel
Tip / pay-what-you-want Voluntary support, no access change
Pricing. Creators set prices freely in supported currencies. No caps. Creators are responsible for ensuring prices comply with local consumer-protection law and platform-rule disclosures.

Revenue split. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Merch Store
Creator Merch(andise) Store: 70% · meVid: 30% of gross paid by the viewer after payment-processor fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, currency-conversion losses, and fraud reversals.

The 70% creator share is credited to your creator_earnings ledger and paid out via the existing PayPal pipeline on the regular payout schedule, subject to minimum thresholds.

Refunds. Viewers may request refunds for paywalled content within 48 hours of purchase provided they have not consumed more than 25% of the content (or, for rentals, have not started the rental window). meVid may issue good-faith refunds beyond this window in cases of broken playback, materially misleading titles/thumbnails, or fraud. Refunded amounts are clawed back from the creator share.

Chargebacks. Chargebacks are deducted from the creator's earnings plus a $15 processor fee per chargeback. Repeat chargebacks may result in paywall privileges being revoked.

Taxes. Creators are responsible for income, sales/VAT/GST, and withholding taxes on their share. meVid may collect and remit consumption taxes where law requires us to act as marketplace of record.

6.4 Affiliate program
Affiliates earn commission on net new signups that convert.
Self-referrals are prohibited and detected automatically using fingerprint, device signal, and IP overlap with the referred account. Detected self-referrals are voided and may trigger termination.
Commissions are reversed for refunded purchases or fraudulent activity.
6.5 Tutorial / quest payouts
Rewards for completing tutorial quests are subject to anti-abuse checks; multi-accounting forfeits all earnings.

6.6 Payout holds
We may hold payouts when we detect: unusual traffic, dispute risk, identity mismatch, suspected coordinated inauthentic behavior, or legal/tax inquiries — for up to 180 days.

7. Viewer terms
By watching, paying for, commenting on, or interacting with content you agree that:

Paywall purchases are personal, non-transferable licenses to stream — not sales of the underlying file. You may not download, re-host, screen-record for redistribution, or share access credentials.
Channel passes are non-transferable and expire on the end date shown at checkout. No proration on cancellation unless required by law.
Comments, votes, polls, chat, and community posts are public and may be moderated, hidden, or removed.
Watch progress, engagement signals, and basic device telemetry are recorded to power recommendations, anti-fraud, and creator analytics.
You will not attempt to bypass paywalls, ad delivery, region restrictions, age gates, or rate limits.
8. Cloudflare Stream, bandwidth & fair use
Video & podcast playback is delivered via Cloudflare Stream. meVid pays for storage of minutes uploaded and minutes delivered to viewers. To keep the Service sustainable:

We may apply per-account upload caps, per-video size/length limits, and per-month delivery caps.
We may downgrade quality, throttle, or temporarily disable playback for accounts that generate abnormal bandwidth (e.g. hot-linking, scraping, embedding without permission).
Embedding meVid players outside meVid is allowed only via official embed code and is subject to attribution and revocation.
9. Privacy & data
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect (account info, content, telemetry, fingerprints, payments, AI prompts/outputs, support messages) and how we use it. Highlights:

We store fingerprints/device signals for abuse prevention (legitimate interest) and security event logs.
We use third-party processors for payments (Stripe / PayPal), email (Resend), AI inference (Lovable AI gateway and underlying providers), and CDN/streaming (Cloudflare).
You may request export/erasure of your account data via the in-app GDPR request flow.
Some data (financial records, tax, fraud signals, moderation history) is retained per legal obligation even after account deletion.
10. Prohibited circumvention
The following are explicitly prohibited and may result in immediate termination, forfeiture of pending earnings, account-wide bans, and legal action:

Creating duplicate/sockpuppet accounts from the same household, fingerprint, or IP without prior written permission.
Using incognito, multiple browsers, VPNs, proxies, anti-detect tools, emulators, or virtual machines to evade rate limits, abuse detection, or paywall/ad logic.
View-botting, watch-time inflation, like/subscribe rings, coordinated voting.
Reverse-engineering the player, paywall gate, ad delivery, fingerprint module, or moderation models.
Scraping the Service except as permitted by robots.txt and rate limits.
Sharing accounts or paywall access with people who didn't pay.
Using the affiliate program to refer yourself or accounts you control.
Falsely flagging content to harm competitors (mass-report abuse).
11. Moderation & enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice:

Remove, label, demonetize, age-restrict, or geo-restrict content;
Reverse paywall payouts and refund viewers;
Suspend or terminate accounts;
Cooperate with law enforcement.
You may appeal decisions through the in-app moderation appeal flow. Critical Violations (CSAM, NCII, terrorism, fraud) are not appealable.

12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties (merchantability, fitness, non-infringement, accuracy of AI output, availability, virus-free, etc.) to the maximum extent permitted by law.

AI outputs may be wrong. Paywall earnings projections, analytics, and recommendations are estimates. Cloudflare Stream and other providers may have outages outside our control.

13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, meVid's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid meVid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or punitive damages.

14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless meVid, its officers, employees, and partners from any claim arising from Your Content, your use of AI tools (incl. voice clones, deepfakes, remixes), your paywalled offers, your affiliate activity, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. DMCA & IP
We respond to valid DMCA / copyright notices and equivalent processes worldwide. Repeat infringers will be terminated. Counter-notices are accepted at the address in our Help Center.

16. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, legal reasons, or risk to the Service or other users. Sections that by nature survive termination (licenses already granted to third parties, indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, payout holdbacks) survive.

17. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

18. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which meVid is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in that jurisdiction; you waive class-action rights to the extent permitted by law. Either party may bring claims in small-claims court.

Plain-English summary (not a substitute for the Terms above):

Be 13+ (18+ to earn money or sell paid content). Don't upload illegal, abusive, or deceptive content. Don't use multiple accounts, VPNs, or bots to game views, ads, affiliate referrals, or paywall sales — we detect this with fingerprints and device signals and will ban accounts and claw back earnings. Creators keep 70% of paywall revenue; meVid keeps 30%. Viewers buying paid content get a personal streaming license, not a download. Refunds within 48h if you haven't watched much. AI tools are powerful but you're responsible for what you publish — especially voice clones and deepfakes. Be cool to each other
